First, apply for a MySPR account. Go to myspr.spr.gov.my and register for ‘Permohonan Akaun Baru’.
Have a digital copy of your IC and clear selfie holding up your IC ready for upload.
Enter your full address as per your IC (NOT your voting address or foreign address) and enter your mobile number so that a TAG can be sent to you for verification.
After your account has been approved (within one or two days), you can log into the account and apply to be an overseas postal voter. NOTE that opening a MySPR account does not mean you have registered as a postal voter
When apply for postal voting, you need to enter an accurate foreign address, either home or work, so that the ballot paper can reach you
If your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from the EC.
If you encounter any problem registering the MySPR account, immediately call the hotline or write to SPR at https://www.spr.gov.my/ms/aduan-pertanyaan
If you are overseas, volunteer as a ballot runner.
